I am a self-taught international-selling artist with paintings sold in Germany, Spain, Canada, and America as well as numerous clients within the UK.
Working in acrylics, and occasionally pastels, I paint landscapes: real, many from photographs on my travels, and imaginary, along with some floral works and have recently started working on wildlife pictures, especially birds. It was quite by chance in 2006 I stumbled into the glorious world of acrylic painting (read how here) and haven’t looked back since. My favourite subject matter and inspiration is the beautiful Gloucestershire countryside where I live, and my love of flowers, nature and wildlife, along with the many beautiful places I have visited abroad.
Snowglow was my first large painting. Entered into the Spring 2009 Winsor & Newton on-line art competition, it ranked in the top 40 from over 600 entrants.
Later sold by auction, the money raised by Snowglow was donated to a very special little boy with cerebral palsy, in order to help sponsor him through the Footsteps Foundation, a specialist unit in Oxfordshire that helps children with neurological disorders. Carrying a lot of pride along with the artwork in my suitcase, I took great delight in being able to deliver the painting in person to the purchasers in Spain. It now hangs in their apartment as a vibrant reminder of winters in chilly Britain.
In 2011, Yarm Originals Art Gallery offered to show two of my paintings in their online gallery. This was followed in November 2011 with the Art Gallery UK, based in Tetbury, Gloucestershire accepting three of my works for their online gallery.
In June 2012, I held my first private exhibition at the Loveahappyending Summer Audience, also held in Tetbury. In May 2018, five of my paintings were displayed at a public art exhibition in Winterbourne, South Gloucestershire which resulted in a sale and a commission.
Most of the paintings displayed on this site are available to purchase. Should you wish to buy a work, please contact me through the comments box. Invariably, my paintings are supplied unframed, as I believe the client is the best judge as to what type of frame would work best for where they wish to display their new acquisition. Note that the majority of paintings on this site are displayed using computer-generated frames.
This site is still in the process of being put together but do feel free to look around. Prices and sizes of artwork will be added in due course. All prices quoted exclude postage/packaging/delivery.
What I am not is a skilled photographer. The images captured in the various Galleries here do not do the paintings full justice. Because of this, I offer a full money-back guarantee if not completely satisfied with any purchase.
I do take commissions, however I do not paint pets/animals or do portraits. Well, not yet anyway!
I also will be posting blogs on art and painting which I hope will be of interest.
Thank you for visiting.
